Manifesto Launch: Gig Worker Demands for Scottish Election

Ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections in May, we are calling on Scottish parliamentary candidates to back our ambition for a city-by-city transformation of the relationship between gig economy companies and gig workers, with five core demands.

Ahead of the Scottish elections, please ask your candidates to support our five key demands, which are described in detail in the manifesto:

1. Nothing About Us Without Us
2. Show Us the Full Picture
3. Let Us Meet on our Own Terms
4. Investigate Injuries
5. Invest in Our Innovation

You can read about the manifesto’s safety demands this article in the Ferret by journalist Karin Goodwin, which investigates the situation facing riders and why it’s time for workers to have a voice in how the city is planned for couriers and other gig workers.
